up a friendly game of volleyball during a vacation to Southern California, the
beach may be your best bet for meeting up with strangers, introducing yourself,
and seeing if your talent matches the skill level of the players at the nets,
assuming they invite you to join in.
One place where the beach and nets are
supreme is Corona del Mar. Corona del Mar State Beach has paid parking at the
bottom of the hill where the beach sits, or you can try your luck at finding
free parking at the top. There are about a dozen volleyball nets available free,
though you must take your own ball to play.

beach volleyball. Newport Beach beaches also have numerous nets along the
several miles of beach front on the numbered streets on Balboa Peninsula. Great
