Anderson is located in northern California not far from Redding. The booming city has grown to become a great residential area for those seeking blue skies, mountain views, lake vacations, and a warm, dry summer climate. The area has experienced amazing growth in recent years.

With affordable vacations and access to many amazing outdoor attractions, Anderson greets road travelers with a California Welcome Center you can actually see from Interstate Highway 5 when passing by. Do stop and visit to get maps, and plan your road trip. The staff is amazing, offering great advice and assistance for travelers.

Anderson is a perfect road stop, too. It has shopping centers, restaurants, and affordable hotels. You can spend an afternoon or evening soaking up the local entertainment, rest for the night, and be back out exploring attractions such as the Sundial Bridge in Redding, McConnell Arboretum, Shasta Dam, Lake Shasta, Burney Falls, and Mt. Lassen National Park with its bubbling mud domes and incredible mountains. This once active volcano that last erupted in the early 1900's offers an amazing glimpse into the past with its molten rock formations where you can actually see the swath of flow of the lava, carving its path through the spectacular forests.

Anderson is within an hour or two of most major tourist attractions, though it is only a short drive from Redding where you will discover the majority of things to see and do.
