The world’s largest Halloween party, West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval, is ready to rock for its 30th year. Founded in 1987 (three years after the city was incorporated,) the free event takes place on famed Route 66. Spanning one mile of closed streets on October 31, 2017, 6-10:30 p.m., the event on Santa Monica Blvd. between Doheny Drive and La Cienega Blvd. features bands performing, vendors, and non-stop action. Due to large crowds, adults shouldn’t bring children and pets, says the City of West Hollywood (weho.org), the host of this incredible carnival of outrageous costumed participants reaching half a million strong.
If you are into costumes, Palm Springs Halloween on Arenas features a fabulous costume contest with $1000 in cash. While admission is a suggested $5 donation, upgrades include two VIP areas with lounges and premium viewing of the stage acts for Oct. 31, 2017:
Robin S known for hits “Show Me Love” and “Luv 4 Luv”
The Perry Twins spin at festivals around the world — Burning Man, Ascension Fire Island, White Party Bangkok and Madrid’s Infinita Pride
Pepper MaShay with hits “Dive in the Pool” and “Does Your Mother Know”
