ALLIGATORS, CATS, SEAL LIONS AND DOGS TAKE CENTER STAGE IN THE MEDIA THIS WEEK!
- ALLIGATORS & CATS: One of two alligators confiscated by animal control authorities from Los Angeles County homes this week is causing a sensation because of several cat carcasses found in the yard. Authorities want residents of small pets gone missing to contact them.
- SEA LIONS: Up and down the coast marine mammal care facilities are feeding emaciated sea lion pups. Pictured is Barnaby, found in Seal Beach recently and now facing a three month rehab at Laguna Beach Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
- DOGS: A San Franciscan is protesting in Union Square to stop people in Guangdong, China from eating dog meat. Gov. Jerry Brown signed a sister state agreement with Guangdong last fall to strengthen economic ties.
