BBQ Season
BBQ season is the reason to fire up your grill. Some of the best BBQ to be had happens in your own back yard. One of California’s heritage BBQ menus is Santa Maria style tri-tip with beans and salsa, ideal for Memorial weekend parties.
For those discovering the vegetarian diet leaves them cold (such as Northern Californians Matthew and Terces Engelhart, owners of Cafe Gratitude,) who returned to eating meat and said they got death threats for doing so, you are not alone in your desire to consume BBQ. Festivals dedicated to the art of BBQ cooking are the rage.
This weekend (May 6-7, 2016) in Santa Clarita an inaugural BBQ and Beer Festival serves up family fun, food and live music in Central Park. On May 14 Queen Mary’s annual West Coat BBQ Classic delivers great food in a harbor view setting. From Norco to Newport, Petaluma to Penn Valley, there are many BBQ festivals coming to California in 2016!
