Three to See in Santa Cruz

3 SANTA CRUZ BEACH EVENTS: 1. Sea Glass Festival; 2. Vince Lombardi’s Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers Trophies together on public display for the first time; 3. Hot Rods at the Beach
- This weekend at the Cocoanut Grove Ballroom in Santa Cruz sea glass fans converge to ooh, ahh, and shop for uniquely shaped specimens, along with items made from them. The annual Santa Cruz Sea Glass and Ocean Art Festival (santacruzseaglass.com) on November 7 & 8, 2015 isn’t the only such festival in California. Cayucos Sea Glass Festival takes place in March.
- Along the same Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk you can see the traveling Super Bowl 50 Tour (sfbaysuperbowl.com) which celebrates the history of the Bay Area’s championship teams, the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers. All eight of Vince Lombardi’s Trophies are on display Nov. 7 & 8.
- Hot Rods at the Beach Car Show rumbles & roars into town on November 7.
