Cayucos Chamber of Commerce annual Cayucos Sea Glass Festival hosts an event with enthusiasts and craftspeople from around the world coming to sell and showcase their sea glass creations and treasures. The popular hobby along coastal regions worldwide involves an activity of combing beaches and discovering pieces of glass worn by the tides and ocean waves. The smooth rocks, pebbles and other shapes of varying colors come from items such as broken glass bottles. They can be used in jewelry, home decor, and collecting.
