- BEER AND WINE: Beverage festivals quench thirsts in 10 cities around the state.
- MUSIC FESTIVALS: Nearly a dozen music fests this weekend.
- LAVENDER: Lavender takes center stage this weekend at four festivals in Ojai, Santa Rosa, Kenwood and Nice.
- SPORTS: Mammoth Motocross, Mule and Donkey Show in Penn Valley or a lot of “bull” at the Tres Pinos Rodeo. There are also some old school games and sports.
- CARS: Six car shows and a fireworks display.
- SURF: Festivals are wacky.
- PRE-4TH OF JULY: Parades and fireworks come early to several cities
- FESTIVALS: Pride in San Francisco, Greek in Irvine, Pirates in Long Beach, Paso Robles Pig Roast, Grunion in San Pedro, Beach Fest in Redondo.
