California’s pleasure piers are colorful, fun and offer lots of things to see, do and taste,  adding to any beach visit. In addition to providing entertainment, there are pier attractions that also educate in a fun manner. Though few and far between,  aquariums and sea life centers on piers fit that bill. From the Manhattan Beach Pier Roundhouse aquarium, to the piers of Santa Monica, Santa Barbara and San Francisco, tourists and local residents can see and explore the sea life that dwells within the vast Pacific Ocean. Touch tanks, aquariums and hands-on exhibits allow guests to get close and personal with the ocean creatures.
