Today is referred to by some as Black Friday, indicating that merchants and retailers look for shoppers to put them in black ink, so to speak. When you make a profit, you’re in the black, as opposed to red, indicating a deficit or loss. As we drove around on Thanksgiving Day, we observed that this is also going to be Green Friday because of all the tree lots filled with Christmas Trees looking for homes. There’s a short window of opportunity to buy, decorate and enjoy a tree before  it dries up, the pine needles fall off and it becomes a danger. They say that this year is the shortest window of opportunity to shop, buy a tree and decorate because Thanksgiving fell on Nov. 28, which is considered late. Many tree lighting ceremonies are happening a bit later this year. Here are some Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies held on Black Friday. Enjoy!
