Christmas in the Park is not just limited to opening night Tree Lighting but will continue each week during the run of our event. Beyond the trees, displays and nightly entertainment.

The annual tree lighting for Christmas in the Park includes musical entertainment along with the festive tradition of flipping the lights on to holiday trees. The tree lights are synced to a musical light show that will leave you in awe night after night. Immediately after the official arrival of Santa Claus, there's a line up of entertainment which often includes comedy presentations, dance and music shows, a dignitary or two saying hello. The show starts at 6 p.m. so plan accordingly as this is a night you wont want to miss!

Enjoy outdoor snow showers & holiday tunes every 30 minutes in Park Valencia in front of Maggiano's every Tuesday & Saturday starting  December 2-30, 2023, 6-8 p.m., every 30 minutes

Tree Lighting  features 40-foot Christmas Tree, a snow shower of confetti and more!

Santana Row celebrates the holiday season with its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! Enjoy an evening of live music, costumed characters and family activities. Experience the magic of the holidays with loved ones as you watch Santana Row's 40-foot Christmas tree light up the night, coupled with a snow shower of confetti and more! Tree lighting main stage performance will begin at 7 p.m. in Santana Row Park with the lighting of the tree at approximately 7:30 p.m.

For more than 30 years the tradition has been a San Jose family favorite, as the Tree Lighting is also part of a downtown San Jose experience that include the annual Christmas in the Park, and Downtown San Jose Ice Rink. Christmas in the Park opens 3 p.m. and the Tree Lighting ceremonial speeches and music begin at 5:30, with the tree lighting happening around 6 p.m.
