California Cheap Boat Rides $10 or Less

Summer is the right time to take a boat ride or cruise in California. Some of the water taxis and boat rides operate between Memorial and Labor Day holidays. Here are a few cheap boat rides that as of this posting cost $10 or less (subject to change, of course!)
- BALBOA FERRY: $1 each way, car approx. $1.50-$2 additional. Runs daily.
- LONG BEACH: Aqualink Catamaran $5 for an approx. 1 hour route between Alamitos Landing, Belmont Pier, Aquarium of Pacific and Queen Mary. Runs in summer. Water Taxi is $1 and runs throughout the year (dates vary) between major attractions.
- MARINA DEL REY: Water Taxi $1, runs in the summer throughout the marina.
- SAN DIEGO: Coronado Ferry $5 year-round.
- SAN DIEGO: Bahia Bell Cruise free with hotel stay at Catamaran or Bahia Resorts. $10 public. Runs in summer.
- SAN FRANCISCO: San Francisco Bay Ferry short stops $1.60; To Oakland, Vallejo around $6.60 one way, year round.
- SAN PEDRO: Port of Los Angeles free tour of harbor summer only and lottery system due to demand.
- SANTA BARBARA: Lil Toot Water Taxi $5 weekends in summer, varies in off-season.
