Great California Christmas Destinations: San Francisco

A week ago we proposed the idea that you don’t need New York when you can celebrate Christmas in California. San Francisco is a great Christmas destination:
- Beach Blanket Babylon Holiday Show is always over the top, including the huge hat!
- Reindeer and Zoo Lights at San Francisco Zoo offer holiday magic.
- Ice skating rinks return to the city by the bay where it rarely freezes.
- Blanche, Dorothy and the (drag) crew returns for the Golden Girls Christmas special.
- There’s no place like San Francisco for Gingerbread displays.
- Christmas trees & menorahs, boat parades and Filipino Parol Lantern Festival shine at night.
- The Great Dickens Fair at Cow Palace is naughty and nice.
- Kung Pao Jewish Christmas serves up wildly funny entertainment in a Chinese restaurant.
