Cinco de Mayo is days away and many cities plan to celebrate in California where the scale has tipped with the largest ethnic group being Hispanic. While May 5th celebrates an historic event that happened in Puebla, Mexico, the festivals in California embrace the best of Spanish cultures that span the continents. Spicy foods, costumed dancers, bands, parades and carnivals are taking place between May 1 and May 5, 2015, with the bulk of celebrations on the weekend of May 2 & 3. The best known Cinco festivals are in San Diego’s Old Town, Santa Ana Downtown, and Los Angeles historic El Pueblo, a well known tourist attraction. Here are a few Cinco de May Festivals among dozens happening next week!
