Cool Concert @ Freight & Salvage
Joe Driscoll & Sekou Kouyate? are performing at Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, Calif. on May 24, 2015 at 8 p.m. Their band is a collaboration between a rapper/ beatboxer/ singer-songwriter from Syracuse, NY and an electrifying African kora sensation from Guinea. Kouyate blends hip-hop, funk, and soulful, accessible rock with Afrobeat, reggae and irresistible African grooves. They released the acclaimed album Faya by Cumbancha Discovery and have been on tour performing their original works. Tickets are $18 pre, $20 door. Freight and Salvage is Berkeley’s best known concert venue featuring everything from workshops and kids music camps to classical, jazz, country, new beat and all styles and genres of music. There are concerts and events nearly every night.
