Ever wonder what it was like during California’s gold rush era? There are many places that strive to retain the look and feel of that time, and one of our favorites is on the way to Yosemite National Park. It’s a town called Coulterville. We stopped & stayed at the haunted Hotel Jeffery and spent the evening in the restaurant/saloon in the historic B&B.   True West magazine calls Coulterville one of the Top 10 True Western towns! It has a great museum, good food and drink, shops and several outstanding community events, including the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Coyote Fest in September.
