Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor

Grass Valley, Calif. should be very proud of the way Jillian Smith handled herself at the opening of Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor in Long Beach. The 2017 Miss California from Grass Valley (who recently competed in the Miss America pageant,)  kept her cool under pressure when creepy ghosts, clowns and ghouls surrounded her at the Halloween attraction taking place at the authentic & historic haunted ship. The beauty queen did slightly flinch when the scary creatures approached while the Cal Poly SLO broadcast journalism major focused her attention on opening ceremonies.

Taking a year off school to fulfill her duties representing California at events, the annual haunted attraction likely goes down as one of the most unusual assignments sure to come in her role as Miss California.

Dark Harbor expects its best, scariest year ever with the all-new FEAST Maze on board the ship featuring a decorated Chef who has a dark side.  For amazing mazes, amusements,  a wide variety of finger foods and meals, multiple cocktail bars, spooky “shot girls”, private cabanas and entertainment for 23 nights through November 1, 2017, see queenmary.com for tickets.
