SeeCalifornia.com calendar events and stories are accomplished primarily through research. The synergy of publishing things of interest comes from people sending in their related festivals & events. When we produced our Day of the Dead 2016 list there were three festivals that weren’t featured — till now….

  • SAN PEDRO: Dia de Los Muertos Festival on Oct. 30, 2016 includes an all-star line up of Hispanic stage entertainment shown in left picture above. The free event is a cultural feast of food, art, music and exploration.
  • SANTA MONICA: Do you know that Santa Monica is one of the few cities in California with its own municipal cemetery? Woodlawn Cemetery, Mausoleum & Mortuary is the perfect venue for the city’s Day of the Dead celebration (right photo) on Oct.30.
  • SANTA MARIA: The heart & soul of the Central Coast is not only a fantastic place to visit for a weekend of wine tasting. It also offers family fun festivals such as the Dia de Los Muertos on Oct. 29.
