Millions of Californians have witnessed the iconic Disneyland fireworks that light up the night. I can actually hear the nightly show with its booms and thunderous roar, as can hundreds of thousands of people within a 20 mile radius of the theme park. If you think that so much exposure to fireworks would have a negative effect, the opposite is actually the case. Of 34 Orange County cities near “The Happiest Place on Earth” only the ten cities closest to the theme park have legalized “safe & sane” fireworks. Statewide, 296 communities in California allow state-approved fireworks.
This 4th of July ‘Disneyland Forever’ fireworks spectacular in the sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle not only uses a special discharge technology to cut down on air pollutants, but many special effects to enhance the experience. Fog, lasers, computerized laser-mapping, inflatables and spotlights help create an immersive environment. While guests look up in the sky they are hardly aware that 17 projectors, more than 25 video projectors, 30 inflatable units and multiple moving window actuators are busy creating magic!
