Dogs are taking over California as evidenced by a celebration yesterday in Long Beach called Dogs of Downtown. On Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 dog owners were invited to bring their pets for food tastings, agility training, mobile grooming, photo booths, and a costume contest. Downtown Long Beach is taking the first step in educating the public as to which stores are pet friendly, what restaurants and patios can accommodate the canine crowd, and how to become a social animal, so to speak.
