Escaping Hurricanes in the Desert

Published on: October 28, 2012

It takes just one whopping winter storm back East to drive the California economy into full gear. For all our shortcomings, there’s something California has that everybody wants–dry, warm weather!  While many areas of California are basking in 80-90 weather, over one-third of the country is rushing to evade the throes of several major storms, including Hurricane Sandy. Photos of desert hotels include JW Marriott properties in Indian Wells (girl at pool); Palm Springs Convention Center Renaissance Hotel with swimming pool & mountains and  guest room with black & yellow colors; and the Hyatt Regency (a pet friendly hotel) downtown.  The Hyatt includes bold and modern design, including a new pool deck with luxury cabanas, restaurant and bar, Get Fit center and  renovated guest suites.

Head for California Desert & Guaranteed Sunshine!  The desert is the sure-bet for some of the best weather on the planet. Fantastic hotels nearly all include swimming pools, too!  Here are some desert happenings:
