Palm Desert for the Young, Young at Heart and Restless

Published on: September 11, 2012

Winter is an exciting time in the California desert. It’s wild and its restless. Palm Desert is known for its free-wheeling spirit, especially when winter kicks in and the “desert rats” begin to roam. The weather is superb and spirit soar duringĀ  dry 76-degree days and breezy nights that are anything but boring. It’s the time when the Southern California Palm Desert region begins to shine. People who have “holed up” during the summer heat finally get to come out and play.

The Palm Springs Follies launch their annual season on November 1, the Golf Cart Parade comes to town in late October, and the Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Garden literally lights up with Howl-oween, andĀ  WildLights– 750,000 twinkling lights that illuminate the zoo after dark during the Christmas season. It’s a great time to visit this California treasure!
