California Saws and Jug Band Festivals

The hills are alive with the Sound of Music! But it’s not the famous Von Trapp family singers — they disbanded this year. The great-grandchildren of Captain and Maria Von Trapp ended their act permanently  in summer 2016 after carrying on the tradition of performing Austrian folk songs during 15 years of world touring. Not to worry — here in California we have our traditions of mountain folk music where you’ll find saws, jugs, spoons and washboards making magical sounds at festivals in them thar’ hills ….>
