Fiberholics Unite at California Festivals in Boonville, Dixon

Published on: September 21, 2012

Baa, baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full!

It’s the time of year when fiberholics are in “shear” delight as they celebrate the use of natural lamb and sheep’s wool for spinning, weaving, and making things. If you’ve never seen the simple process of turning that woolly hair into beautiful couture creations, it’s actually really cool to watch. Old fashioned? Yes.  There are two California festivals held annually where you can get some idea of just how big the movement is.
