What are you doing this weekend? Here are 50 Halloween events to check out in destinations not typically known for Halloween. Nearly every city in California is celebrating Halloween but some are truly Halloween destinations. If you host a Halloween festival that attracts 500,000 people, causing your city to swell to over 14 times its normal size, then you qualify as a Halloween destination. That city, West Hollywood, has been preparing for its signature event, Carnaval, for months. Always held on October 31, pets are to be left at home and children are not encouraged at this adult-oriented celebration.
