ORANGE, CALIF. — Wouldn’t it just seem like a dream to stroll down the street and get your fill of Greek? Dozens of California Greek Festivals provide such an experience, including several on Labor Day Weekend. But maybe you want to top off a great Mediterranean salad with German Bratwurst, English Fish & Chips, Lebanese Garlic Chicken, Mexican Burrito or Asian Orange Chicken dish.

The annual Orange International Street Fair features more than a dozen themed streets dedicated to countries and their foods. Each street’s non-profit groups get to keep profits for their organizations’ special causes and programs that feed back into the community.

If you miss this event, maybe you’ll head for something a bit more refined–like LA Times Taste, also on Labor Day Weekend. Held at Paramount Studios Backlot, the weekend festival features the best from select Los Angeles chefs. Three days of gourmet might get a little ho-hum… so what’s next?

Amador City’s got a tomato festival going on at Feist Wines off Old Highway 49.

In Fort Bragg you can slap your sides for the Big Pancake Breakfast fit for the mega-lumberjack. Paul Bunyan Days is all about a hearty meal.

Maybe you’d like a taste Meat Pie? In Pleasanton the annual Scottish Highlands Games & Gathering has you covered during the Labor Day Weekend festival at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

It’s time to top off a meat pie with a slice of pie at Mt. Shasta’s annual Blackberry Music Festival. The annual Labor Day Weekend event features fresh-baked blackberry pie slices with scoops of ice cream.

On Labor Day there are Californians laboring so you don’t have to cook. Enjoy your fantastic food journey!
