ALAMEDA: LONGEST PARADE
Alameda 4th of July Parade is the nation’s longest Independence Day parade, a whopping 3.3 miles! The parade contains more than 170 floats and several thousand participants. It steps off the curb each year on July 4 at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Avenue between Grand Avenue and Park Street.
APTOS: WORLD’S SHORTEST PARADE
Celebrate the 4th of July in Aptos with the parade on Soquel Drive between State Park Drive and Trout Gulch Road. The parade, which contains patriotism (American flags) and pride, is just a few blocks long. See: aptoschamber.com
