Mugly Wins Worlds Ugliest Dog 2012 Contest
It’s never appropriate to beat up on someone else, not even in the dog world. When Mugly was rescued from a shelter in the UK, the poor creature had been roughed up by “thugs”. His 2nd chance came when Bev Nicholson of Peterborough, England adopted him. She now travels with Mugly in the Pets As Therapy Dog program, working with children. Mugly was selected by a panel of judges as the World’s Ugliest Dog 2012 in the Sonoma-Marin “World’s Ugliest Dog” contest. News quickly spread around the globe.
A viewer’s choice contest chose “Creature” in online voting, but that contest is just for fun allowing the public to offer their input.
