Lucy Arnaz and Laurence Luckinbill Light Palm Springs Tree
Lucy Arnaz, the famous Hollywood daughter of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball, is a producer, actor, singer and dancer in her own right. She keeps a busy schedule, as does her husband, Laurence Luckinbill, who’s worked in the entertainment industry for nearly 50 years, appearing in Murder She Wrote, Barnaby Jones, Columbo, Law & Order, Star Trek V and too many to shows & films to mention. On December 6, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. the celebrity couple throws the switch on the Christmas Tree at Mountain Station at an elevation of 8,516 feet, overlooking the Coachella Valley. The public is invited to attend the tree lighting ceremony held in the San Jacinto Mountains. Getting there on Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is half the fun (wear your coat because it’s cold & often snowy.) Other luminaries who have lit the tree in recent years have included Lindsay Wagner, James Darren, Ronnie Schell and Jack Jones.
