The majority of 4th of July festivals, picnics and fireworks shows take place in city parks. From free summer concerts and movies, to soccer games, yoga workouts, and space for dogs to romp & play, parks are in demand. If you don’t know how passionate people are about their parks, attend a city council meeting when parks are on the agenda. Talk about fireworks!
With 525 park and recreation agencies in California producing recreation guides, I spend hundreds of hours poring over them. It’s a lot of work trying to learn about so many programs. One thing is undeniable, however. California’s parks and recreation organizations do a bang up job of providing affordable entertainment all year long!
