Downtown Alturas and the Alturas Chamber of Commerce parade on Main Street is broadcast on KCNO 94.5 FM with play-by-play broadcast of the parade at the corner of West 2nd and Main Street. After the parade there's a Classic Car Show and day of family fun, food and entertainment at Veteran's Memorial Park.

One of the biggest fireworks show on the north coast starts after 9 p.m. Fireworks are shot over the beautiful Battery Point Lighthouse for an amazing display.

DAVIS: City Of Davis 4th Of July Celebration July 4, 2017 Fireworks at 9:30 pm Community Park. A Centennial Celebration 2017 is the Centennial Celebration for the City of Davis. The 4th of July celebration is a free community event enjoyed by over 10,000 participants and this year is going to be better than ever! This hike is moderately strenuous with a elevation gain of 1,000 ft. and a round-trip distance of 5.5 miles. Dress in layers, wear hiking boots and bring snacks and plenty of water. On the hike up, learn about the area's history and geography as you take in a coastal sunset while waiting for the fir eworks to begin! Then, kick back and enjoy the show. KINGS BEACH: The 38th annual July 3, 2017 Fireworks & Beach Party will take place from 4-10pm outside the North Tahoe Event Center adjacent to the expansive beach at Kings Beach State Recreation Area. The Beach Party is a fundraiser for the Kings Beach fireworks and is open to all ages; admission is FREE. Enjoy food vendors, a beer/wine and mixed drink garden, free watermelon eating and sand castle building contests, periodical live music performances the San Diego Marine's Double Time Brass Band, a raffle to win a standup paddleboard, patriotic and glow items, and facepainting. The event is capped off by a dazzling fireworks display at 9:30pm.

A parade, music, dancing, crafts & activities of early San Diego recreate an American Independence Day as it was celebrated on the frontier. The event kicks off with a brass band followed by patriotic speeches and flag raising ceremony. One of the highlights of the day is the annual Fourth of July parade around the plaza. Following the parade the Old Town Historic Dance Society presents a dance where visitors are encouraged to kick up their heels and join in. Nineteenth century contests, such as cow chip throwing, cherry pit spitting, and the ever-messy egg toss will be presented throughout the day. The afternoon concludes with an all-American pie-eating contest. Guests of all ages are encouraged to join in all the festivities. SIGNAL HILL: Signal Hill 4th of July Hilltop Closure July 4, 2017. The Signal Hill Police Department suggests that all individuals and families interested in viewing the aerial firework displays can enjoy the view from the hilltop, but should consider attending the shows at The Queen Mary, The Armed Forces Reserve Center in Los Alamitos, or other shows in the Long Beach area because hilltop space is limited. will be in force to monitor the city's NO FIREWORKS policy.

SONOMA: Sonoma 4th of July on the Plaza Parade July 4, 2017, 10 a.m.
All day celebration 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sonoma's Fourth of July on the Plaza celebrates in true, old-fashioned style, beginning with a parade at 10:00 a.m. with marching bands and fun floats. The Parade begins at 10am winding its way around the town's historic Plaza with around 60 entries. After the parade, enjoy an old-fashioned festival with food, drink and game booths by Sonoma's non-profit organizations. All proceeds raised from the festival benefit Sonoma's nonprofit community. The 4th of July festival concludes around 5pm when all eyes shift to the skies at dusk above General Vallejo field for the spectacular fireworks show that lasts approximately 45 minutes.
