Red Letter Days: Lunar New Year, Valentines Day

If aliens landed on Earth they would be seeing red this weekend when two holidays make heavy use of the color. Valentine’s Day includes red hearts, gift cards, red clothing and red boxes of chocolate. Lunar New Year makes even more use of the the color in fireworks, flags, hats, capes, dragon costumes, and red envelopes filled with money for family and friends. Here are several Lunar New Year festivities:
