September Festivals Worth a Look

September has arrived and there are some really great events coming up in California. If you survive the Labor Day parties, picnics, outings, trips, festivals and events, then it only takes a week of laboring to appreciate what’s next.

California September Festivals

BANNING: Stagecoach Days September 5-8, 2019. Enjoy the annual parade, plus they’re bringing back the PRCA rodeo!

MOUNTAIN VIEW: Mountain View Art and Wine Festival September 7-8. Held Downtown, enjoy a weekend of music, food and vendors selling arts of all sorts.

VENTURA: Chalk Art and Street Painting Festivals September 7-8.

LODI: Lodi Grape Festival September 12-15.

HOLLISTER: Northern California Renaissance Faire September 14-October 20, weekends at Casa de Fruta.

SAN JOSE:  Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival September 15.

CALIFORNIA: Smithsonian Museum Free Admission Day September 21.

DANVILLE: Concours d’Elegance September 21-22.

ARROYO GRANDE: Harvest Festival September 27-28. A parade, scarecrow decorating, pie eating contest, diaper derby and wheelbarrow races are some of the family-friendly events.

SONOMA: Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival September 27-29. Three days of great fun for all ages.

PACIFICA: Pacific Coast Fog Fest September 28-29.  “Discover Pacifica” Parade, sand castle building, games, concerts, foods, beer and Fog Jog.

ANDERSON: Redding Fire Festival September 28-29. Fire arts with fire dance, acrobatics, and all things visual on display.

FAIRFIELD: Candy Palooza September 29-30 at Jelly Belly factory. This annual event showcases candy as a jump-start to Halloween season.

SAN DIEGO:  Cabrillo Festival September 28. celebrates the heritage of San Diego and arrival of 16th Century explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo as he steps ashore on Ballast Point.
