The fantastic, annual Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Festival is set for June 24-26, 2016. For those planning to travel to Santa Barbara, Highway 101 has mostly remained open during the Sherpa Fire approx. 20 north of the city. An estimated fire containment date of Thursday, June 23, 2016 at approx. 12 a.m. means that the air quality will likely improve before the festival and parade take place.
