Solvang Danish Days takes place September 19-21, 2014. The annual festival includes a parade, costumes, dancing, wine, and the world famous Aebleskivers. The round pastries are cooked on a hot griddle, sprinkled with powder sugar, then given a drizzle of sweet berry flavor. Among the events throughout the weekend is an Aebleskiver Eating Contest. If you’re looking to see windmills, Solvang fits the bill! Another heritage event coming up is Julefest on December 6.
