California’s Best Spring Flower Fests

Desert park rangers have fingers crossed that the wildflower blossoms will offer the best display in years. You don’t have to head to Joshua Tree or Death Valley to see nature’s beauty, however. This list barely scratches the surface of flower shows and events that span the state this spring 2016:
- TULIPS: San Francisco Tulipmania Feb. 13-21
- CAMELLIAS: Temple City Feb. 26-28 | Sacramento March 5-6 | Santa Clara Feb. 21- 22 | Pleasant Hill March 12-13 | Modesto March 19-20
- ORCHIDS: San Francisco Feb. 26-28 | Santa Barbara March 4-6 | Arroyo Grande April 2-3
- DAFFODILS: February-March: Woodside, Fortuna, Julian, Corona del Mar, Livermore, Murphys, Volcano
- WISTARIA: Sierra Madre Wistaria Festival March 13
- RANUNCULUS: Carlsbad Flower Fields March 1-May 8
