Surf Dogs

Surfing dogs are not a new phenomenon by any means. In fact, when Loews Coronado Bay Resort passed the rash guards this year from the Loews Surf Dog Contest to the renamed “Unleashed by Petco Surf Dog Competition”, they’d been hosting the high profile event for almost a decade. So what’s up in 2014? There are several noteworthy surfing competitions for canines and the best way to prepare a dog is through surf lessons. Head for San Diego where SoCal Surf Dogs Club teaches basic and advanced techniques from experienced, passionate dog surfers. The 50 minute classes are offered at Del Mar Dog Beach.
