From cowboy poetry and music festivals to rodeos, fairs and heritage events that celebrate the Old West, California is the go-to state for Western-themed celebrations. Several of the biggest, most publicized festivals every spring are the Cowboy Festival in Santa Clarita and Bishop’s Mule Days. There are many events that don’t get quite the publicity but offer incredible country appeal and hometown hospitality.
