Spring Break
Studies of California college students' preferences for spring break vacations determined that many like to go to Las Vegas where hotel deals can be found this time of year and pool parties abound.
Mandalay Bay (shown in photo), MGM Grand (3rd largest hotel in the world), The Mirage, Luxor and Excalibur are among the spring "treats" filled with casinos, fabulous pools and star power entertainment. Add to that perfect weather with 70-85 degree daytime highs and many say that's pure paradise.
Nights dip down to upper 50s-60s, ideal for jackets and sweaters as you head out for shows, casinos, bars, clubs and dancing.
As summer approaches and the air becomes hot as an oven, you probably won't find it quite so desirable to go there. Spring is a great time to head for the Nevada desert!
