Girls play before the 4th of July Parade that marches down Main Street. Before the parade there's a pancake breakfast and Surf City Run. Then as the pre-parade events wind down, people begin converging on parade route to get ready for the show to begin. The parade is months in the planning, and includes an approx. 2 hour parade, vendor fair and fireworks show--all free.
