The 100-year-old UC Davis Picnic Day takes place each year in April. The event is so much fun… the entire community and people for miles around comes out to play. The kick-off parade from 9:30 a.m. – 12 Noon includes bands, floats and entertaining units.

Head for UC Davis campus Open House for the picnic. Hundreds of events throughout the day include food, Fashion Show from the senior design students, a baseball game, science shows and forums, Seed Art, Weed Doctor, Corn Shelling, Plant Give Away, Popcorn Popping, Tomato Timeline, UC Davis Olive Center, Exotic Food Tasting, A Century of Insects, Honey Tasting, Cockroach Races, Maggot Art, Bug Doctor, Physics Show, Goat Milking, Horse Breeding Demo, Guess the Weight of a Pig and Win a Ham, Cow Milking Contest, Battle of the Bands (2-10 p.m.), and approx. 20 rock & Indie bands.
