See predicted winners below! Surrounding the Dolby Theatre where the Academy Awards take place this Sunday street closures are creating a mess for commuters. Some roads have been closed for a whopping 10 days! Celebrities, producers, costume designers, composers and other talents make their grand appearances on the Red Carpet at the 87th Academy Awards televised show Feb. 22, 2015. Whose going to win? Here are some educated guesses from a “variety” of sources:

BEST PICTURE – Birdman. The public knows Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton) as Birdman, the superhero he once played in a series of films. He hopes to reestablish himself as a serious actor by mounting his own dramatic production on Broadway but his self-doubt and a high-profile, egotistical movie star in his cast hinder the project.

BEST ACTOR – Eddie Redmayne. Plays Stephen Hawking, a brilliant young cosmologist who learns that he is suffering from a progressive motor neuron disease.
