Nothing says "beach" like paintball. The annual Paintball League competition has gone under many names throughout its 8 year reign in Huntington Beach, but the event is still the same. Big grandstands are set up for the public to watch paintball leagues shoot it out for prizes. A vendor expo filled with paintball products, some of the celebs of the paintball world autographing their photos, and lots of people walking around with (paintball) guns...and it's all on the sand. The Surf City USA Open launches Friday around 10 a.m. and goes through Sunday.

Country Western recording artist, Amy Scruggs, performs the National Anthem on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Grandstand. Location: Pacific Coast Highway at Main Street, Huntington City Beach, CA.
