Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday in 2013:

  • 44.8 million Consumers shopped on Thanksgiving Day, up 27 percent from 2012.
  • 92.1 million Consumers shopped on Black Friday in 2013.
  • 4.9% of holiday shoppers were at stores by 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
  • 64% of holiday shoppers went out on Thanksgiving Day or visited stores by 10 a.m. on Black Friday.
  • 37% of holiday shoppers were at stores by 12:01 a.m. on Black Friday, up from 28% in 2012.
  • 27% of consumers said they shopped online on Thanksgiving Day in 2013.
