Cool Zoo is a special day filled with activities to stimulate natural behaviors like foraging and play, considered part of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo's animal enrichment program.

Animal enrichment schedule:

• 10 a.m. – Orangutan / Siamang
• 10:30 a.m. Warthog
• 11 a.m.   Sea Lion Cove
• 11:30 a.m. Meerkat
• 12 p.m.  Asian elephants
• 12:30 p.m.  Condor
• 1 p.m.  Sloth bear
• 1:30 p.m. Galapagos tortoise
• 2 p.m. Australian Aviary
• 2:30 p.m.  Tiger

Come one, come all for this cool water-themed day featuring water and ice. Zoo animals are fed icy treats and offered extra opportunities to frolic in water.

Animals like their ice desserts served in different tastes!

• Sea lions prefer an ice block filled with fish
• Big cats relish frozen blood
• Flamingos and Galapagos tortoises are fond of getting wet in the sprinklers
• Elephants never turn down pachyderm-sized showers from a fire hose
