Debby McCormick from McCormick Divers is pleased to announce this:
Debby McCormick and her team were successful last night in convincing the Long Beach City Council to re-build the diving facilities! "I am so proud of our diving community and grateful for so many friends who supported this impossible effort. Just think that two weeks ago there was no consideration for diving. You all spoke up and convinced the City Council that diving is a viable sport. Very proud!!" Thank you again to all of you that helped make this happen. It was a huge effort but well worth the outcome!"

Eighty-two years ago, in Clydebank Scotland, construction began on the Queen Mary. Exemplifying the fine craftsmanship of Scotland, the Queen Mary's Scottish legacy is undeniable and today we celebrate our ship's glorious heritage with a two-day festival (February 16-17) honoring Scottish culture and history.

The 20th Annual Queen Mary ScotsFest in Long Beach is from 9am to 6pm, offers guests a glimpse into Scottish culture and history and features authentic Scottish live music, dancing, athletic competitions, food and drinks. This year Scotsfest will feature a variety of traditional Scottish activities including athletic competitions like the caber toss, a Grand Parade with authentic clans, whisky tasting, a Kids Zone, sheep herding and Vendor Village! Hope to see you there!
