I'd like to start this Newsletter in Thanking Blair Cohn at The Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association in Long Beach for throwing a Good Party this previous Wednesday to welcome The Levitated Mass Rock that was temporarily parked on Atlantic Avenue on It's way To LACMA. For those of you who get The Local News Paper, Stay tuned for my article in there with photos from The Event and a detailed description with quotes.

Huntington Beach Police Chief Ken Small's Administrative Assistant Karin Reed asked me to Inform you all of this Item:
Chief Small and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) representative Edward Callirgos presented the MADD Awardees at the Council meeting this past Monday. Mr. Callirgos honored the following five officers with 25-99 DUI arrests in 2011: Officer Wilson (28 arrests), Officer Kansaku (28 arrests), Officer Dexter (34 arrests), Officer Smiley (49 arrests), and Officer Altenbach (59 arrests). Officers with more than 100 DUI arrests in 2011, will be honored at a luncheon later this week at the Nixon Library.

Huntington Beach Public Works Department Construction Manager Eric Charlonne would like to Inform You of Two Items. They are:
On Edwards between Warner and Talbert all lanes are now open but there will be lanes closures for the raising of the utility vaults in the roadway during the next 1 ½ weeks. The striping will be installed early next week.
On Center Avenue the final asphalt cap is being installed now allowing for near normal traffic and pedestrian movements between Gothard and the 405 Freeway entrance. Center Avenue is on the north side of the Bella Terra shopping center.
