From the really unique pier that you can see from the top of a hill as you drive down toward the beach, hitting the brakes and arriving at a funky shopping area, to the beaches that include sunbathing, surfing, volleyball, and tons of sunbathers, OB is unarguably a happening place.

The Ocean Beach Dog Beach is a huge draw for pet owners who can bring the critters and let them run free. Don't be surprised when you visit and see all the pets!

But most people like to hang out closer to the pier, which features free pier fishing, a cafe with snacks, and great strolls for tourists and locals to enjoy.
