California Beaches

A mere 3 out of 15 counties with Pacific Coast beaches in Southern California comprise this beach region, but by the numbers of tourists and actual county populations these are the power house of California's beaches.

Southern California beach counties are recognized globally for their culture, clothing, and sports. If it involves fashion, surfing and music, it easily could have come from Southern California beach communities in three edgy counties - Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego County. These counties have the most people, hottest weather, most tourists at their beaches, and the theme parks to accompany the beach experience. In these three southland counties you'll find not only fantastic beaches but nearby Disneyland, SeaWorld, Legoland, Universal Studios and Knott's Berry Farm.
