Trinidad, CA Travel, Photos Information and News

Trinidad is one of the northernmost coastal cities in California, located in some of the tallest trees in the world. Home among the giant redwoods, residents of Trinidad love nature and reminded of its spectacular beauty on a daily basis. 10 public beaches and the California Coastal National Monument are two of the top draws to California's smallest incorporated city of 300 some people.

Sure, the area gets over 40 inches of rain per year. That is just more to love about what makes the trees so tall & green! Located in Humboldt County approx. 8 miles north of the Arcata-Eureka Airport and 15 miles north of the college town of Arcata, there's no lack of things to see and do, and the airport offers easy access to just about any place in the world.

A series of rocks that are part of the California Coastal National Monument help form the landscape that includes the historic Trinidad Head Light, the Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse, and Humboldt State University's Fred Telonicher Marine Laboratory.
